Class Information

Candle Making made easy

 How to making Hand dip candles, Poured Mold candles,  Decoration & Rolled candles, and even how to clean you own bee wax. You will make and take home a rolled candle.  You'll enjoy making and giving candles as gifts to all your family and friends. Class runs from 10:00am  to 2:00pm.  Cost; $20.00 per person, this includes supplies to make a candle, drinks and snacks. (10 person minimum)


Beekeeping 101

This class is held in Febuary or March

This class is for first year beekeepers.
We go from the history of beekeeping to marketing your crop.
Class runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm
Class cost $25.00 per person includes snacks, drinks & lunch (10 person minimum)


Beekeeping 201 & Making splits

This class is for the more experienced beekeepers of 2 years or more.
We show you how to grow your own queens and increase your hives with your own bees.
Live demonstration weather permitting.
Class runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm
Class cost $25.00 per person includes snack, drinks & lunch (7 person minimum)


Making your own pollen traps

This class is for the more experienced beekeepers of 1 year or more.
You will build your own pollen trap to take home and use.
You will have the plans to make as many as you need.
We will learn about different pollens how the bees collect it.
What the bees use it for how to clean it, store it and how to market it.
Class runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm 

Bring a bag lunch or eat in the town restarants
Class cost $65.00 per pollen trap. Includes drinks & snacks (10 person minimum)


Bees for kids

For ages 6 to 106 we go from the honeybee egg to harvesting honey.
It is a great class just to watch the kids have a good time acting out bees in the hive!
Class runs from 1:00 pm to 2:30pm
Cost FREE and includes snacks


Bees in the Bible

We will talk about how many times and where the Bible references the honeybee and bee related things.
Time; Class will start at 10:am
Cost FREE Includes snacks


 

Building your own Winter Feeder ( Candy Board )

This class is lead by Roger Graham. Time; Class is from 9:30am to 11:00am, then repeats at 12 noon to 2:30pm.This class will teach you how to mix, & cook all the ingredients and pour them into the board for winter feeding. The bees will be well fed and you don't have to worry about them or work so hard.You will need to bring 25lbs of sugar and we will have the other ingredients measured out for you. Cost; $25.00 per candy board feeder. (7 person minimum)

Herbs and the Honeybees

This class will tell you what plants the bees like and how the bees will affect your plants. Class lead by Kathleen Prought.  Time; 10:00am to 12:noon. Cost $10.00 per person, and every one will leave with a plant. You will need to call and reserve your seat. (10 person minimun)


Making Your Soap

Making soap by Joyce Miller   Time; 10:am to 2:pm  Cost; $25.00 (10 person minimum)

You will learn how to cook and cure all the ingredients to make your own wonderful soaps for your home or for gifts.
